Steve Biko died on this date in 1977.

“I write what I like”, he wrote. I remember reading the blue (Penguin?) book of that title when I was a teenager. And because of his Frank Talk (pen name), he did not live to see this day, today. Steve Biko was born in King William’s Town in 1946. He was 30 when he died, leaving his wife and two children. And the rest of us. To this day.
